Tips: Revitalize Your Pet Supplies!

Tips: Revitalize Your Pet Supplies!

I used to have a bin of bones stripped clean by my dog, stale catnip toys under the couch, nevermind the veggies in the fridge that got tossed when they got a bit elderly. Seems wasteful, right?

Sound familiar?

Here's a few ways to revitalize your pet supplies and get waaaaay better value!

1: DOG BONES - I refill my Open Range marrow bones with dog-safe peanut butter, wet food, kefir or even some cut-up fruits or veggies. Or soak them in our BruMaster Dog Beer (best bone broth for pups!) to refresh those bones! Since these bones are cured, not cooked, they last many resuses. The hollow center is perfect to stash things for foraging and nosework! Now you have a brand-new chew!

2: CATNIP TOYS - Grab a bag of our Fog Farms Canadian organic catnip, toss a handful into a ziploc bag, and stash some kitty toys in there to infuse them with fresh catnip. Shakey-shake and when you give those ones to your feline furrreinds, plop some other older toys in and rotate weekly or even monthly. Voila - fresh cat toys! Keep those kitties active and playing!

3: VEGGIES - don't throw them out, even if they are not so crisp anymore. Celery, carrots, sweet peppers, cukes, kale, spinach - all are great for pups! Soak them in BruMaster Dog beer and then freeze - this bone broth will liven up those wilty veggies, and save your grocery bill. I love to fill broth-soaked celery with a bit of dog-safe peanut butter before freezing for a fun treat that costs almost nothing! (Make sure to avoid garlic, leeks, onions and mushrooms - these are not great for fido)

Save money, get better value out of your pet products, and keep your furballs active and healthy!!
